According to RCO News Agency, Sa’ar said in this meeting: “I emphasized that Israel is committed to the implementation of the ceasefire agreement, but it will not compromise on its security.”
He further claimed that Lebanon has an opportunity to distance itself from Iran and build a better future.
Israeli forces must be completely withdrawn from southern Lebanon by January 26 to complete the ceasefire agreement that was signed in November. At the same time, the Lebanese army will be stationed in this area along with international peacekeeping forces.
