Russia welcomed the ceasefire agreement in Gaza – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Sputnik, the Kremlin spokesman said that Russia welcomes any agreement that leads to a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
At a press conference in Moscow, Dmitry Peskov emphasized that Russia did not participate in the process of resolving the conflict between Hamas and Israel.
“Maria Zakharova”, the spokeswoman of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in a press conference today that Moscow expects the ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip to serve as a basis for lasting stability.
He added: We hope that the implementation of this agreement will lead to long-term stability in Gaza, allow the (Palestinian) refugees to return, and facilitate the reconstruction of what was destroyed during the conflict.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia also expressed hope that the implementation of relevant agreements will provide the basis for improving the situation in the Middle East, including in Lebanon, Syria and Yemen.
