- Health professions: nurses, doctors, and health technicians
- Technical occupations: electricians, plumbers, and welders
- STEM careers: engineers, data analysts, and IT professionals
- French-speaking immigrants: To increase linguistic diversity across Canada
Federal economic priorities – focus on domestic applicants
With 82,980 admissions, this stream helps transition international students and temporary foreign workers to permanent residence. This change targets challenges such as work permit expirations and limited paths to permanent residency.
CRS score in Express Entry 2025 changes
CRS score has always played a decisive role in Express Entry draws. With new reforms, this system will become more accessible to target groups.
CRS score reduction forecast for specific categories
- Healthcare professions: CRS score can drop to around 450.
- Technical occupations: Lower scores for this group due to continued demand.
Increase points for general applicants
Those without Canadian work experience will compete with a CRS score of around 540 or higher.
