Iconic news photos of the 20th century, from historic moments to behind-the-scenes of newspapers, are on display in an exhibition in New York.
An exhibition called “hot news!” “News Photographs from 1908 to 1975” (Extra!: News Photographs from 1908-1975) at Howard Greenberg Gallery in New York, a collection of the most influential It exhibited news photos of the 20th century. More than 60 historical photographs from 1908 to 1975 are on display at the event, including important moments in history such as the Civil Rights Movement, the Vietnam War, Plane crashes and sports events; Symbolic moments that are forever recorded in the world’s memory.
Pictures of famous figures such as Mohammad Ali Kelly, John F. Along with important political and social events, Kennedy and Mahatma Gandhi, annotated pages of newspapers and explanations and edits inserted on the back of the photos are among the works of this exhibition.
This exhibition provides a unique opportunity for visitors to understand the role of photojournalism in recording and transmitting history. Existing photographs, as important historical documents, not only link to the past, but also allow the audience to have a different look at old stories.
