Trump made the TV presenter and producer his ambassador! – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, citing The Hollywood Reporter, Donald Trump appointed Mark Burnett, the TV producer of the “Internist” program, as a special envoy to the United Kingdom. “Having a distinguished career in television production and business, Mark brings a unique combination of diplomatic acumen and international recognition to this important role,” he said.
Mark is known for creating and producing some of the biggest shows in television history, including “Survivor,” “Shark Tank,” “The Voice,” and most importantly, “The Apprentice.” He is the former president of MGM and has won 13 Emmy Awards. !
When Trump ran for president in 2016, Burnett said in a statement that he was never in favor of Trump’s candidacy. At that time, the pressure was high on him to release the old tapes of the recording of the show “The Apprentice” in which Trump was one of the participants.
At the time, the Associated Press claimed that Trump’s behavior on the show was too improper and that the desire to obtain the tapes was too great. However, MGM’s lawyers stated that the tapes did not belong to Burnett because the studio owned the show, and the studio’s then-consultant stated that the studio’s contracts included provisions regarding confidentiality and artists’ rights.
Trump also nominated TV host Tilman Fertitta as ambassador to Italy. He is also the owner of Houston Rockets and CEO of “Landry” restaurant group. As the host of a reality show, he traveled across America to challenge small business owners in a competition to partner with Landry. This program continued from 2016 to 2018.
Trump wrote about him: Tillman is a skilled businessman who founded one of the top entertainment and real estate companies in our country employing about 50,000 Americans. Tillman has a long history of helping the community through philanthropic initiatives that include children’s charities, law enforcement and the medical community.
