26 works from Iran have been registered independently or jointly with other countries in the list of intangible cultural heritage of UNESCO.
UNESCO’s Intangible Heritage List, along with its World Heritage List, is one of the most famous world lists in which countries are always trying to register their tangible and intangible works.
Recently, along with several other countries, Iran has managed to register “Mehrgan Festival” and “Art of making and playing Rabab instrument” in this list. Also, in the case of Nowruz, the country of Mongolia has been added to the group of countries that share the Nowruz ritual.
