Yalda special programs of Tehran museums were announced.
The arrangement of Yalda’s chairs and trips, music performances and poetry readings, and the unveiling of some lesser-seen works are among the special features of the museum’s program for this occasion.
The General Directorate of Museums, taking into account that Yalda night (Celeh) is coming up as one of the ancient Iranian celebrations that has been registered as an intangible heritage of the country, in order to protect that cultural and artistic event, it will be held in the museums of Tehran.
The historical complex of Saadabad Palace will host the second commemoration ceremony of the Yalda World Register (Cheleh Night) with the presence of the Minister of Cultural Heritage. Some special programs have been planned in Niavaran Palace. Welcoming tourists with a special reception on Yalda night, live performance of local music and ritual ceremonies of Iranian peoples, storytelling and poetry reading based on children’s and youth literature, and a puppet performance, the symbolic arrangement of the Yalda chair using museum objects in the treasure of the dedicated museum palace And holding a poetry workshop and a poetry reading party on Butterfly Nights is one of the programs of Niavaran Palace.
Also, Golestan Palace has prepared the performance of tambourine on the occasion of Yalda night in the gallery museum and the holding of under-glaze and over-glaze painting, mosaic and inlay, knitting, hand-printing, ornaments, gilding workshops in the premises of the palace for this year’s Yalda. Setting up the Yalda table in the Gallery Museum and holding an art workshop of Maoli calligraphy are other Yalda programs of Golestan Palace.
Holding the Shab Cheleh meeting is also a special program of the National Museum of Iran for Shab Cheleh. Also, in the Iran Carpet Museum, the setting of the Yalda table, the holding of a meeting and the performance of official music, and the unveiling of two lesser-seen Safavid carpets are planned.
The story-telling and narration program of the Yalda Night for adults will be held on December 30, from 10:00 to 12:30 at the Abgineh Museum, and the Reza Abbasi Museum will also host the setting of the Yalda table and the unveiling of 26 Safavid painting works in the repository.
The Glass Painting Museum has also prepared the Yalda table setting and holding a course for artists in the field of Glass Painting in the museum for the Yalda night.
