According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Sputnik, Russian President Vladimir Putin says that the US decision to deploy missile systems in the Asia-Pacific region is worrying.

Putin said: America continues to inject weapons and money into the illegitimate Ukrainian regime, and this process will lead to the escalation of tension. If NATO continues to deploy weapons in several regions, we will have to take more measures to ensure our own security.

He also said about the conditions of the front line of the battle in Ukraine: Russian forces have the strategic initiative along the front line of the war in Ukraine. The amount of modern weapons of Russia’s strategic nuclear arsenal has reached 95%. We will continue to maintain the capability of our strategic nuclear weapons arsenal. Also, the number of Russian armed forces has increased to 1.5 million soldiers.

Pointing out that this country will not allow it to enter into an arms race at the cost of its social and economic conditions, the Russian president said: NATO countries have increased their military spending and strengthened their combat units near the borders of Russia.

He added: “If Washington starts deploying medium and short-range missiles equipped with nuclear warheads (in the Asia-Pacific region), we will not adhere to our limitations in deploying these missile systems.”

Putin emphasized that the United States has begun to create military-political alliances around the world, and this issue has probably increased the outbreak of war in several regions of the world.
