Alamut is a historical castle in the heights of Qazvin’s Alamut region, which is very popular among visitors due to its rich history. This castle, which is built on top of a rock with a height of 2163, was the headquarters of Hasan Sabah, the leader of the Ismailis of Alamut. The size of Dej Alamut reaches more than 20,000 square meters, and due to its fortifications and natural resources, it was considered an impregnable fortress. However, it was burned after the Mongol invasion. Today, many Iranian and foreign tourists visit the ruins of Alamut Castle and share their opinions and experiences on Google Maps.
