The 360 degree eye of Brighton, England has filed for bankruptcy and the future of this tourist attraction is uncertain.
Brighton, England’s 360 degree eye operator is £52m in debt and the company’s chairman has announced that the bankruptcy filing was a result of rising costs and adverse summer weather conditions.
According to the company’s announcement, this attraction remains fully operational and all possible ways for its operation are being investigated. Brighton City Council has also announced that they expect the company to enter bankruptcy soon.
However, options such as existing demands to earn money to keep this attraction active in the short and medium term or to sell this attraction are being explored.
In 2014, Brighton City Council agreed to lend £36.2m to the operator to bring the 162m Brighton Seafront Tower up and running.
