According to RCO News Agency, “Farhan Haq”, the Deputy Spokesperson of the United Nations, told Türkiye’s Anatolia News Agency that he is in contact with all parties regarding the ceasefire negotiations in Gaza.

He added that the United Nations is aware of these negotiations and communications with the United States, Türkiye, Egypt and Qatar are still ongoing.

Saying that “the United Nations supports any practical initiative for a ceasefire in Gaza”, Haq recalled that the organization has been calling for a ceasefire in Gaza for a long time.

He emphasized the need to stop the conflicts in Gaza, release the prisoners and increase the humanitarian aid.
