The Times: “Energy Corruption” Brings Deadly Wier to Ukrainians

British media reported that Ukraine’s inability to protect its energy infrastructure during the war caused Ukrainians to experience deadly cold days and nights as the temperature dropped.
According to Isna, since the beginning of the war in Ukraine in February 2022, this coury has faced difficult wiers due to corruption in the manageme of energy infrastructure in the face of attacks, and this year, when the war in Ukraine is eering its third year, this scenario seems to be happening again for the people of Ukraine. It will be repeated.
In a report referring to the cold that Ukrainians are experiencing in this year’s cold weather, The Times newspaper writes: “In February last year, British engineers, along with teams from America, Germany and Japan, advised their Ukrainian colleagues to build structures to protect Build Ukraine’s energy network against Russia’s attack. But after 9 mohs of this proposal, the governme of Volodymyr Zelenskyi, the preside of Ukraine, has not yet taken any action; A problem that will mark a cold wier for Ukrainians.”
This British media considers the reason why the Ukrainian governme has not taken such action yet, “governme corruption” in the field of energy.
The Times coinues: “About 80% of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed in the war with Russia. “Without providing protection for them and despite sub-zero temperatures in Ukraine, this coury is facing a painful and deadly wier.”
The head of the Critical Infrastructure Protection Agency, Mustafa Naim, resigned in June in protest at the repeated failures of the Ukrainian governme, claiming that the project was deliberately delayed due to Kiev’s refusal to release the funds allocated for its implemeation.
“It’s impossible,” says Naim. When you see the preside of the coury putting obstacles in your way, it becomes impossible. “My team has become suspicious of the governme’s actions and the project has been delayed due to non-payme of bribes to the officials of the Prime Minister’s Office.”
The Prime Minister’s Office, the Presidency and the Ministry of Power (Energy) of Ukraine have refused to comme on this matter.
