A number of foreign tourists who have visited Tabriz’s Alisha Citadel have shared their opinions and experiences with Google users.
Alishah Citadel is one of the historical and symbolic monuments of Tabriz city, which actually refers to the remains of the south porch of Alishah Mosque. The history of this work, which has been registered in the list of national heritage of Iran, goes back to the Ilkhanid period and its name is derived from “Tajuddin Alishah Jilani”, the minister of “Sultan Mohammad Khodabande”. During the constitutional period, this building was used as a military fortress of the Azerbaijan Autonomous Government, and many constructions were built around it. Major parts of this citadel were completely destroyed in later periods, and only the present-day porch remained. Today, visiting this building is free for the public. A number of international tourists who have visited Alisha Citadel have shared their opinions and experiences with Google users.
