What happened in the meeting between Ukrainian and English generals?
Ukrainian and British military commanders discussed the situation in the field as well as London’s military and training support for Ukraine in Kiev.
According to RCO News Agency, Oleksandr Sirsky, the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, hosted Tony Radakin, the Chief of Defense Staff of the British Armed Forces, on Friday and consulted with him about “strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities”.
Sirsky wrote on his Telegram channel: “We discussed the expansion of military cooperation, especially for the training of Ukrainian forces by Britain, as well as the urgent needs of the armed forces of Ukraine for weapons and military equipment.”
Radakin had previously met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and discussed London-Kiev military cooperation.
In his meeting with Sirsky, Radakin emphasized London’s intention to continue providing logistical assistance and training to Ukrainian forces.
The Ukrainian commander also wrote that he informed his British counterpart about the “progress made in repelling Russian attacks” as well as the general situation on the front lines.
The commanders of the air and naval forces of Ukraine were also present in this meeting.
This meeting was held while after Ukraine used NATO-made weapons to attack Russian territory, this country attacked a position in Dnipro, Ukraine, with its new hypersonic ballistic missile called “Orshnik”.
