According to Mehr news agency, news agency Waa Iraq quoted Major General Yahya Rasool, the spokesman of the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, as saying: The Iraqi government will continue its actions to prevent the use of the country’s soil for any attack.
General Rasool emphasized: The Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces told the Air Defense to implement all necessary measures to protect Iraq’s airspace and ensure the security of the country’s vital and internal goals.
He noted that the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces has stated that the Iraqi commanders have full responsibility to prevent any action that may threaten the security of the country.
Rasool also added that the Iraqi government continues its efforts to prevent the use of the country’s lands to carry out attacks, and these efforts have so far led to the seizure of ready-to-fire weapons.
He emphasized that people who participate in such activities that threaten Iraq’s national security and territorial integrity will be prosecuted.
Rasool continued that the security agencies are determined to identify the perpetrators of these actions and introduce them to the judicial system for punishment according to the law.
