According to Mehr news agency, citing Al-Arabiya news agency, the German police in the city of Kiel in the north of the country announced that the officers stopped an attacker with two knives in front of the police station by shooting.

According to the police, the attacker was a man and was injured in the leg.

The German police released a statement in this regard and announced: A female officer was also injured during this incident.

The police spokesperson added that the said attacker had threatened the officers.

The police claimed in their statement that the man did not respond to the warnings, and this caused the officers to use firearms against him.

German police added that an investigation has been launched against this person.
