Iraqi politician: Americans go out the door and come back through the window
The re-election of Trump indicates a change in American policy and a return to the White House’s blackmail method towards some countries, especially countries rich in oil and natural resources. Washington may change the rules of the game and bypass the agreements made between Baghdad and Washington regarding the US military presence inside Iraq.
According to RCO News Agency, the US President-elect Donald Trump called Saudi Arabia a “milking cow” after he tried to extort money from the country and seize Riyadh’s reserves in the Federal Bank under the pretext that the US supports Saudi Arabia. And this provocative method may be repeated with other countries, especially as Trump uses Americans for military action as well as a vehicle for trade and securing revenue from countries he wants to blackmail.
Ali al-Zubaidi, a member of Fatah coalition, warned against blackmail operations, new measures and Trump’s intentions in the future and told Al-Malouma News site: “Trump’s coming to power was predictable from the beginning and this victory has many risks for Arab and Islamic countries.” Because Trump is a materialist and by being in power, he seeks to get money from rich countries, especially since he treated rich countries like masters and slaves, because he is a businessman and believes in money, not politics, and he was at a stage that America is facing a budget deficit and is expected to blackmail some countries to get money.
He added: During the previous term of the presidency, Trump also seized Saudi reserves in the Federal Bank, which amounted to 400 billion dollars. This is a warning about Trump’s dubious intentions and his reappearance in power carries risks.
In this regard, Salam Hossein, a member of Al-Fatah coalition, considered it unlikely that the American forces would leave Iraq and said that the American forces would leave through the door and return through the window. There is no security or trust in the American government, especially with Trump back in office.
He predicted that “America will interact with Iraq in a different style so that American forces stay in this country and will bring several justifications to ensure the continuation of the military presence in Iraq, especially that the Ain al-Assad base, along with other spy nests, is the main point of support for American forces in Iraq. It is located inside Iraq, and the US is currently present in these bases in various capacities such as experts and advisers, but in fact, all US bases serve the interests of Washington and Tel Aviv.”
This is despite the fact that Baghdad and Washington, after the popular and political pressure of Iraq, agreed that the American forces will be withdrawn from the country by the end of 2025.
