US financial assistance to Ukraine exceeded 182 billion dollars
According to the report of the special inspector of the Pentagon, the total amount of financial assistance allocated by the US Congress to help Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian war has exceeded 182 billion dollars.
According to Isna, the report states: “Since the beginning of Russia’s attacks on Ukraine in February 2022, the US Congress has approved at least $182.99 billion for the military response to Russia’s operations in Ukraine and Ukraine’s broader response.”
According to the Guardian newspaper, in this report of the US Department of Defense, it is also mentioned that these amounts include 131.36 billion dollars for security and aid related activities and 43.84 billion dollars for the development and statehood of Ukraine.
This amount has been allocated through a series of federal agencies, including the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the United States Agency for International Development.
This report was published while Russia previously sent a note to NATO about supplying weapons to Ukraine, and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that any shipment containing weapons to Ukraine is a legitimate goal for Moscow. Russia has repeatedly emphasized that sending equipment to Kiev does not change the reality of the battle and only prolongs the war and increases the suffering of the people.
