Moscow: 2 Ukrainian drones were destroyed over “Belgorod” – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to Mehr news agency, citing Sputnik news agency, the Ministry of Defense of Russia issued a statement and announced that the air defense system of the country’s army intercepted and destroyed 2 Ukrainian drones over the Belgorod region today.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Russia announced the downing of several Ukrainian drones in the Belgorod region.
Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of Belgorod, issued a statement in this regard and announced that no one was injured after the destruction of these drones.
According to TASS news agency, the air defense in Belgorod is on alert.
On February 24, 2022 (March 5, 1400), the Russian army began its “special military operation” in eastern Ukraine; Senior Russian government officials say the operation was launched in response to a request from the leaders of Donetsk and Luhansk to protect them from Ukrainian forces.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the purpose of this operation was “to support the people who were subjected to genocide and persecution by the Kiev regime for more than 8 years”.
