According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Al Jazeera, the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, congratulated Donald Trump on his victory in the US presidential election.

He added: I hope the new American president will be successful during his term and we are willing to cooperate with him once again with the aim of strengthening our relations.

Emir of Qatar stated: We hope to be able to maintain security and stability in the region and the world by strengthening joint cooperation.

Qatar is the first Arab country to react to Trump’s victory.
