Hebrew media: The circle of sanctions against Israel is getting tighter
Referring to the disregard of international laws by the Zionist regime, the Hebrew media announced the tightening of arms embargoes by Tel Aviv’s allies against this regime.
According to Isna, since the start of the Gaza war on October 7, 2023 and the unprecedented killing of civilians in this strip, the international community has expressed its concern about the intentional violation of international and humanitarian laws by the Zionist regime.
But after more than a year has passed since the war in Gaza and the martyrdom of more than 43 thousand Palestinians due to the crimes of the Zionist regime and the expansion of the scope of the war to Lebanon and the repetition of scenes from Gaza in Lebanon, which has so far led to the martyrdom of about 3 thousand civilians according to the report of the Lebanese Ministry of Health. Still, the allies of the Zionist regime, such as America and Germany, are sending massive weapons to the occupied territories.
Nevertheless, according to the report of the Hebrew-language newspaper “Calcalist”, the Zionist authorities are worried about the start of a wave of arms embargoes against them and the forced stoppage of their war machine due to the non-export of weapons by their allies.
This Hebrew newspaper wrote this evening: “England, France and Italy, the three main arms exporting countries to Israel, have imposed a series of arms embargoes against Israel. On the other hand, the United States and Germany, the largest arms exporters to Israel, have warned that if the current trend in Gaza continues, they will reduce their arms exports to Israel.
According to Calcalist, the fear of the mentioned countries is the internal pressure of their citizens against military cooperation with the Zionist regime following the widespread crimes of this regime in Gaza.
The Hebrew newspaper also wrote that “despite the massive humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Israel shies away from offering any concrete answers to assuage the concerns of its allies.”
Calcalist also wrote: “Every week, Western heads of state and Israel’s closest allies call for an arms embargo against Israel. In the last 2 months, England, Italy, France, Spain, Canada and Australia have supported such an action while emphasizing their desire to impose an arms embargo against Israel.
The fall of the position of the Zionist regime in the world community
According to the report of this Hebrew newspaper, the reason why the allies of the Zionist regime are afraid of sending weapons to the occupied territories is not necessarily the “critical conditions in Gaza”, but they are worried about the “increasing internal pressure” regarding the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza and the “possibility” of violating international laws by the occupying regime. And the participation of Tel Aviv supporters in these crimes and law violations.
In this regard, Calcalist, referring to the recent letter of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin to their Zionist counterparts, wrote: Such actions indicate a different point of view between our allies (Israel) and the Israeli authorities. “They no longer consider Israel a democratic country that follows international laws.”
This Hebrew newspaper added: “Given Israel’s actions last year and the complete disregard of international laws by the Israeli army and government, and despite the possibility of issuing an arrest warrant for Netanyahu (Prime Minister of the Zionist regime) and Gallant (Minister of War of the Zionist regime) in The Hague Tribunal, the Israeli government continues its destructive actions, and all of these developments have led to the destruction of Israel’s credibility among its allies and the international community.
According to Calcalist, the Zionist regime cannot, while claiming to follow international laws to “silence critics”, simultaneously commit massive crimes and prevent any independent investigation into the crimes committed.
This Hebrew newspaper also admitted: “Israel has not published any documents about its claims and criticisms against it, and without any investigation or providing a clear answer to its allies, it is continuing its actions in Gaza. In such a situation, it cannot be expected that Israel’s allies will continue to support Tel Aviv.”
The threat of an arms embargo against Israel’s war machine
According to the Calcalist report, the main concern of the Zionist leaders is not related to the “weakening of Israel’s position in the international community”, but considering the dependence of the Zionist regime’s war machine on foreign aid, if a significant arms embargo is imposed, the Zionist regime’s army will become powerless.
According to this Hebrew newspaper, since the beginning of the Gaza war, 70% of the costs of the Zionist regime’s crimes have been financed by the United States, and this is without considering the military aid of the United States and the movement of this country’s forces in the region. On the other hand, Calcalist also wrote that the Zionist army is dependent on the American defense industry, so that the equipment, technology, and air defense missiles of the Zionist regime are mainly imported from America.
Germany is also the second arms exporter to the Zionist regime. Of course, recently German Chancellor Olaf Schultz and Foreign Minister Analena Berbock have rejected any arms embargo against the Zionist regime, although Berlin’s support for Tel Aviv has fueled widespread domestic protests.
In such circumstances, England, Italy and France have not ruled out the possibility of imposing a “broad” arms embargo against the Zionist regime. However, according to the experts, considering the political, economic and military support of the West to the Zionist regime, the statements of the heads of the Western countries regarding the imposition of sanctions against the Zionist regime are merely an attempt to “reduce domestic criticism” and meaningful and “effective” action will not be taken. .
