The Security Council meeting regarding North Korea’s missile test will be held on Monday
The British ambassador to the United Nations announced on Friday that the meeting of the United Nations Security Council to examine the impact of North Korea’s missile test on regional and global security will be held on Monday (November 4).
According to Isna, the British ambassador to the United Nations said in this regard: “This meeting is scheduled for Monday. The reason is clear. This is an intercontinental ballistic missile launch of unprecedented proportions and has effects on regional and international security; Therefore, we immediately put this meeting in the program.”
North Korea fired a ballistic missile that flew for more than 80 minutes and had the longest flight time and the highest altitude, and finally fell near Japan’s exclusive zone. Pyongyang sees this shot as a message to its enemies.
The North Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported that Thursday’s launch was ordered by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
According to KCNA, the flight records of this missile test exceeded the records recorded in previous missile launches.
According to this report, Kim Jong Un was present at the launch site and emphasized that the launch was an appropriate military action to show North Korea’s determination to respond to the moves of its enemies, which have threatened North Korea’s security.
The North Korean leader said in his message that this missile launch shows North Korea’s “mutual will” against its rivals.
He added that nothing will change his country’s policy to strengthen its nuclear potential.
