Zelensky: The war in Ukraine is becoming international
The president of Ukraine said in a message accusing other parties of participating in the war between Kiev and Moscow: “The war is becoming international and goes beyond two countries.”
According to RCO News Agency, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, after talking with South Korean President Yoon Seok-yul on Tuesday, said that North Korea’s actions will enter a new phase of the war. This is while he has ignored the financial support and weapons of the West to Kiev, in the war that has been going on for two and a half years.
“We agreed to strengthen the exchange of information and expertise, to intensify contacts at all levels, especially at the highest level, to develop a strategy of action and countermeasures to deal with this escalation of the situation,” Zelenskiy said.
The comments come as North Korea’s foreign minister arrived in Russia on Tuesday for talks, and the Russia-Ukraine war appears to have taken a “dangerous new” course, according to Reuters. NATO and South Korea express concern that North Korean forces may soon appear next to Moscow.
In a situation where the relations between Moscow and Pyongyang are deepening every day and the parties do not consider their relations against a third party, the West is breathing in the fire of war every day.
US President Joe Biden also says that if North Korean troops enter Ukraine, Kiev “must respond.” NATO also claimed on Monday that thousands of North Korean troops were moving to the front lines, prompting Kiev to call for more weapons and an international plan to keep them out.
On the other hand, the South Korean president told Zelensky that if North Korea receives help from Russia and can gain experience and military knowledge from its involvement in the war, it will be a great threat to South Korea’s security.
South Korea has said that it may start sending weapons to Ukraine if North Korean forces join the Russian war. Putin has not denied the presence of North Korean forces in this country.
