Putin denied the accusation of Russia’s involvement in the unrest in the West
During a conversation with the leader of the Bosnian Serbs on the sidelines of the BRICS meeting in Kazan, Russia, Putin said: “The accusations against Moscow that it is said to be involved in the unrest in some Western countries are completely meaningless.”
According to Isna, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in this conversation with Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dudik: “I was asked whether Russia is involved in the unrest in some Western countries. This is fundamentally false. We don’t do that at all.”
According to Sputnik News agency, the Russian president also added that Moscow is not looking for confrontation and is following its own path.
The BRICS meeting was held on October 22-24 in Kazan, Russia.
BRICS is an intergovernmental association that was established in 2006. Russia assumed the presidency of BRICS on January 1, 2024.
This year’s meeting began with the addition of new members to this association, which, in addition to Russia, Brazil, India, China, and South Africa, now includes Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.
Russia’s chairmanship of BRICS is focused on strengthening multilateralism for equitable global development and security. As part of its periodic presidency, Moscow organizes more than 200 political, economic and social events.
