Zakharova: Moscow strongly condemns Israel’s attack on Damascus
The spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry announced today (Wednesday), that Moscow strongly condemned the rece attack by the Zionist regime in Damascus and demanded respect for the sovereigy of Syria.
According to RCO News Agency, Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said: “We strongly condemn this action. “Whoever the target of this attack was, it was carried out on the territory of a third coury in a densely populated resideial area, resulting in the deaths of innoce people.”
According to Sputnik News agency, he coinued: “It is outrageous that such measures have literally become a common practice, applied in Syria, Lebanon and the Gaza Strip. We once again ask the Israeli side to respect the sovereigy of couries and observe the basic norms of iernational law.
The spokesman of the Russian Foreign Ministry said that the governme of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was to “expand the geography of the escalation of armed tension in the region.”
Bringing up the issue of the Zionist regime’s repeated airstrikes in the region, he said: “Once again, Israel has severely violated Syria’s sovereigy by launching a missile attack on a multi-story resideial building in the densely populated area of Damascus.”
Zakharova also said that according to Russian assessmes, Lebanese Hezbollah has not lost its command hierarchy and has maiained its organization.
