According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Sputnik, the Ministry of Defense of Russia announced on Thursday that the country’s air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 7 Ukrainian attacking drones in the regions of Bryansk, Kursk, and Belgorod.
The Ministry of Defense of Russia announced yesterday that the air defense system of the country’s army intercepted and destroyed several air targets over the Belgorod region. Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Russia announced the shooting down of several Ukrainian drones in the Belgorod region.
Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of Belgorod, confirmed this event by issuing a statement and added: 4 people were injured as a result of the attack of Ukrainian forces with rocket projectiles on civilian houses.
On February 24, 2022 (March 5, 1400), the Russian army began its “special military operation” in eastern Ukraine; Senior Russian government officials say the operation was launched in response to a request from the leaders of Donetsk and Luhansk to protect them from Ukrainian forces.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the purpose of this operation was “to support the people who were subjected to genocide and persecution by the Kiev regime for more than 8 years”.
