According to Mehr news agency, citing Anatoly, Algeria’s ambassador and permanent representative to the United Nations criticized the inattention of the members of this council to their responsibility for stopping the war in Gaza.
On Wednesday evening, during the Security Council meeting regarding the developments of the war in Gaza and the critical situation in the West Bank, Ammar Bin Jame, the representative of Algeria, referring to the actions of the Zionist occupiers to collectively punish the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, called for the immediate action of this council in fulfilling its mandated duties according to The law was passed to establish a ceasefire in Gaza and stop the tension in the West Bank.
He added in this meeting: Words are no longer enough for requests to provide a solution to stop the war in Gaza, and today more than ever we must work to ensure that the law is above all.
In another part of his speech about Gaza, the representative of Algeria said: “The staggering number of martyrs and the amount of destruction shows the brutality that aims to erase the Palestinian identity.”
Ammar bin Jame explained: Since October, the International Committee of the Red Cross has reported that more than 8,700 Palestinians have gone missing, most of them from Gaza.
In the end, the Algerian ambassador demanded that the perpetrators of war crimes against Palestinians be tried before the law.
It should be noted that earlier on Tuesday, Algeria demanded an emergency meeting of the Security Council to review the current situation in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip in the shadow of the intensification of attacks and continuous crimes by the Zionist regime.
