Grossi: The security situation of the Zaporizhia nuclear power pla is unstable

After visiting the Zaporizhia nuclear power pla, the Director General of the Iernational Atomic Energy Agency described the condition of the pla as “unstable and fragile”.

Earlier on Wednesday, an Iernational Atomic Energy Agency delegation led by Grossi visited the Zaporizhia nuclear power pla.
According to the report of the Russian News agency “Tass”, after this visit, Grossi told reporters: “It is clear that the situation in Zaporizhia is very fragile due to the military operation. “Today I learned that the areas near Zaporizhia were shelled.”
Grossi personally visited the cooling tower of the Zaporizhia nuclear power pla. The cooling tower of this nuclear power pla had previously suffered a massive fire due to the Ukrainian drone attacks. Kiev initially ideified Russia as the cause of the attack, but the stateme of the Atomic Energy Agency proved otherwise.
The Director General of the Iernational Atomic Energy Agency said in another part of his stateme: “The Atomic Energy Agency should discover the coordinates and trajectory of the bullets to determine the direction from which the Zaporizhia power pla will be bombarded.”
He added: “The cause of the Zaporizhia cooling tower fire was not the fire at its base. “The Atomic Energy Agency does not rule out the occurrence of dangerous and serious conditions in the Zaporizhia power pla.”
“Progress has been made and the situation is stabilizing,” Grossi said. “The agency will carefully analyze the results of this trip.”
He also said: “Given the state of war, it is impossible to reduce surveillance around the Zaporizhia nuclear power pla.”
During the past few days, Grossi also visited the Kursk nuclear power pla in Russia, which was recely attacked by the Ukrainian army.
Zaporizhia nuclear power pla is the largest nuclear power pla in Europe and one of the 10 largest power plas in the world.
This power pla is located in the southeast of Ukraine, near the city of Enrhodar, on the banks of the Kakhovka River of the Dnieper River.
