According to RCO News Agency, Maria Zakharova, spokesperson of the French Foreign Ministry, told Sputnik not long ago that Moscow has requested consular access to Durov.
“We have sent a request for access, but so far we have not received a response from the French authorities,” the Russian embassy told Sputnik News agency on Wednesday.

Sources close to the investigation have said that Durov is under investigation on the suspicion of 12 crimes related to the lack of control of extremist and criminal content in Telegram.
