Development and expansion of BRICS

Russia assumed the presidency of BRICS in January 2024 (11 January 1402). Under Moscow’s supervision, BRICS will hold more than 200 events covering a wide range of topics. Russia’s key event will be the October 2024 BRICS summit in Kazan, Tatarstan, in Russia’s Volga region.
Recently, Kazem Jalali, Iran’s ambassador in Moscow, announced the official invitation of the Russian president to Iran’s president, Masoud Bizikian, to participate in the BRICS summit.
