Biden announced a new package of military aid to Ukraine
Biden spoke with Zelensky about the latest developmes on the battlefield and announced a new military aid package ahead of Ukraine’s Independence Day, which will be held today (Saturday), the sources said.

Zelensky also said in a stateme after the news was announced: “Ukraine desperately needs the supply of weapons from the announced package, especially more air defense systems for the reliable protection of cities, communities and critical infrastructure.”
After Russia seized Crimea in 2014 and invaded Ukraine in February 2022, the United States has since provided military aid to Ukraine while imposing sanctions on Moscow over the war.
Washington has provided more than 50 billion dollars in military aid to Ukraine since 2022.
This war iensified on August 6 of this year with the sending of thousands of Ukrainian soldiers to the Kursk region of Russia.
On Friday, the United States also imposed sanctions against more than 400 companies and individuals for supporting Russia in the war against Ukraine, and a number of Chinese companies are among these companies.
