It is 11 o’clock in the morning and it is raining heavily, so that the raindrops are becoming bigger and more visible every moment. Thunder continues to tear the chest of the sky.
It is around 12:00 in the afternoon when the electricity in the house is cut. The heating system of houses in this area of Canada is electric, so the house is not warm.
My sister says that if there is no electricity, we will have to buy food from outside. A warning came to my sister’s cell phone that you should stay at home for another hour because of the storm and thunder.
It should be noted that stores and public places have electricity during these warnings and we also went to Casco for daily shopping.
Casco is a collection of stores whose space is like a big shed where products with their boxes are placed on regular boards and usually people’s wheels are full of food and consumables with economic packages.
Of course, based on the definitions I had heard before, I thought that the dress and shoes were also denim, but it was not. Of course, my first encounter with Casco itself has a different story.
In short, after going to the store and making a shopping list, we went to the food service area in Casco. My nieces ordered poutine. Poutine is a Canadian dish consisting of French fries, cottage cheese, cheese and brown gravy, and I do not like the taste of this dish at all.
After eating, we left Casco. We ran to the car. The rain did not spare. Because of my niece’s exam, we decided to go to the library.
After traveling a distance, we reached the Broussard Town Library located on San Francisco Street in Quebec City. The first thing that caught our attention was a sign in the library parking lot. It read in French: “Persons with disabilities and families with small children can park near the library.”
We entered the library. The museum of insects and butterflies was at the entrance of the library. Although it was a small space, it was interesting. At the entrance of the library, a man with a hat and a book body was inside a glass cube.
I read about it later. It was written by the artwork of Giuseppe Archimboldo, who designed his artworks in such a way that the collection of objects could be recognized as a portrait subject.
When I entered the main hall of the library, a board with yellow, purple and blue circles caught my attention. The children were excitedly turning the circles on and off. The circular buttons turned from yellow to purple and blue when turned.
A tree house in the corner of the hall overshadowed the entire area. Inside the trunk of the tree was a chair where the child could sit and read a book.
Balls with pacifiers were hanging from the branches of this tree. Maybe he wanted to say: “Seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave…”
There was a circular area between the shelves of the library. Children were sleeping inside it and reading books. It was similar to this section in the youth section. Of course, larger circular chambers were built inside the walls.
In the children’s section, the subjects of the books and most importantly the cover design and illustrations surprised me one after another.
The head of the children’s library was very sensitive to the children. It was as if he was created for this and he was not surprised by the children’s behavior, he did not hiss and he did not knit his eyebrows together.
The big table in the middle of the hall was smart and the kids could play. Next to it was another round table with small chairs for smaller children and there were 4 tablets on it.
More interestingly, there was a fixed table next to the bookshelves that looked like a bicycle and young children could ride along with reading.
When I was looking at the bookshelf, some books had a heart label, which means that readers like and recommend this book.
Part of the library was a video projector that displayed various images on the floor, such as a fish tank, a car, etc. When you walked on the image, the shape of the image changed.
This part was one of those parts that made the children very excited.
On the way out of the library, there was a hall with shelves of books priced from 53 cents to a dollar, actually used books.
While leaving the library, a man with three big bags was entering the library. I think he was ready to return the read books.
It was 9 pm and it was still raining.
