According to Tekna technology and technology news service, researchers have developed a type of reusable ECG vest that can record images in only 5 minutes with the aim of obtaining high-resolution images of the heart. Researchers plan to combine these images and data from MRI scans to prevent future heart problems in people. In addition, the treatment of heart patients will be better. At present, electrocardiogram devices are used to detect cardiac arrhythmias, which provide only limited data despite the number of 12 electrodes. University College London researchers have improved this 12-electrode device and developed an ECGI vest. This vest can non-invasively, efficiently and quickly provide high-resolution images of the heart's electrical activity. Also, using it together with an MRI scanning machine can prevent heart problems in the future.

Guy Kaptor, one of the authors of this research, says: Today, imaging of the heart has made significant progress. But the monitoring of the heart's electrical activity has not received much attention. The current common technology or the electrocardiogram device has not changed since 50 years ago.
