The free-flying robot called Honey returned to Earth for repairs last year. Now, after undergoing repairs, it has returned to the International Space Station.
According to Tekna technology and technology news service, this robot performs independent navigation in the International Space Station. NASA’s yellow Hunny robot consists of three free-flying strobe robots that will be returned to Earth for repairs in 2022. Now, after repairs and a one-year stay at its main base, it has returned to space.
After removing this robot from its compartment, NASA astronaut Woody Hoberg announced that the robot is now ready for work. This robot was able to independently separate from the space station after initial checks and perform the desired maneuvers with the help of the Japanese test module and reconnect to the space station.
The Stroopi group was used to advance scientific programs in the Orbital Laboratory. Stroopy consists of 3 cube-shaped robots with software and a docking station, in which electric fans are used as the driving force in microgravity. The robot can perform some of the routine tasks of the spacecraft so that the astronauts can focus on scientific work that can only be done by humans.
