According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Al-Manar, “Stephan Dujarric”, the spokesperson Aonio Guterres, Secretary General of the United Nations, emphasized in a press conference on Friday that Guterres is following the border developmes between Afghanistan and Pakistan with great concern.
While explaining the positions of the UN Secretary General, he emphasized the importance of maiaining regional stability and stated: “The Secretary General strongly requests the conflicting parties, namely Afghanistan and Pakistan, to avoid any action that escalates the tension.”
“Guterres urges Islamabad and Kabul to coinue their efforts to resolve any disputes through diplomatic channels,” Dujarric added.
In the end, the UN spokesperson poied out the iernational responsibilities of the two couries: “The Secretary General once again emphasizes the need for Afghanistan and Pakistan to fully adhere to their obligations under iernational law and demands full protection of the lives and property of civilians in the conflict areas.”
An hour ago, “Khwaja Mohammad Asif”, the Minister of Defense of Pakistan, published a message on the “X” social network and announced: “Our patience has ended and now we have eered io an open war.”
On the other hand, Atta Ullah Tarar, the Minister of Information of Pakistan, said that the forces of this coury targeted the defense positions of the Taliban in Kabul, Paktia and Kandahar.
According to this Pakistani official, 27 Taliban positions were destroyed and 9 positions were captured. Also, in this operation, 133 Afghan Taliban fighters were killed and more than 200 people were injured.
Pakistan’s information minister said that Pakistan’s couer-attacks on Taliban positions are coinuing.
The Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan also announced that 55 Pakistani soldiers were killed in this coury’s retaliatory operation against Pakistan.
Hamdullah Fitrat, the deputy spokesperson of the Afghan governme, said that dozens of Pakistani soldiers have been killed, about 20 checkpois have been captured and a number of enemy equipme has been looted as a result of heavy and targeted attacks by the coury’s forces.
Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Afghan governme, had previously said that in response to Pakistan’s military insurrections, extensive offensive operations against Pakistani military ceers and facilities along the Durand Line began.
