Quoting Arya’s heritage, “Soroush Hashemi”, the deputy of cultural heritage of Semnan province, said:
After going through expert procedures and expert investigations, the case of Damghan Salt Lake (Haj Ali Qoli Desert) was approved by the Natural Heritage Registration Council of the coury and this valuable natural work was registered as a national natural heritage.
The Deputy of Cultural Heritage of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Semnan province added:
This salt lake is located in the south of Damghan city and near Hassanabad village, and with its white landscapes, desert silence and unique natural effects, it is considered one of the most significa geomorphological phenomena of Semnan province.
He stated:
The national registration of Damghan Salt Lake is an importa step in the direction of basic protection of this valuable ecosystem, preveion of possible destruction and planning for sustainable tourism developme in the region.
In the end, Hashemi noted:
With the registration of this work, protective measures, iroduction of capacities and preparation of manageme plans have been put on the agenda in order to protect natural values, to provide a basis for responsible exploitation and prosperity of the local economy.
