According to Mehr news agency, veteran American writer Thomas Friedman wrote in an article in the New York Times that the extreme cabinet of the Zionist regime headed by Benjamin Netanyahu is deceiving both Preside Donald Trump and American Jews by exaggerating the danger of Iran and putting them on a path that actually threatens the ierests of America and the security of Jews around the world.

Friedman demanded to stop this process and emphasized that Netanyahu is trying to keep Washington focused on Iran’s nuclear and missile threat, while Netanyahu’s goal is to divert public opinion from the developmes in the West Bank and Gaza.

Referring to the statemes of the former Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, Ehud Olmert, who called Netanyahu’s action a “viole and criminal attempt” to ethnically cleanse the West Bank and annex it to the occupied lands, he added that accelerating the annexation of the West Bank and trying to survive permanely in Gaza is a reckless adveure and a social suicide and will turn Israel io an apartheid regime.

The author warned that the consequences of this will not only be limited to the occupied territories, but will include America as well. In this regard, he poied to polls that show a decrease in support for the Zionist regime among Republican and Democratic youth.

According to Friedman, the problem of the Zionist regime is not only limited to foreign policy, but also extends iernally. In the occupied territories, Netanyahu is accused of trying to weaken the judiciary, weakening the independence of institutions, and obstructing investigations and procedures based on the rule of law, and this process is an “iernal threat” to Israel’s democracy, which is more dangerous for Tel Aviv than Iran.
