According to the Mehr news agency, quoted by Al Jazeera, Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem announced that the experience of the past four mohs has shown that “the Zionist invaders have not stopped the genocidal war, but have only changed its tools and methods” and killing, displaceme, siege and hunger coinue in this region.
In a video message, referring to the first meeting of the Peace Council, which is scheduled to be held on February 19, he asked this council to turn its declaration slogans io practical measures to end the attacks.
He warned that the Israeli regime may use this meeting as a cover to coinue the war and obstruct the reconstruction process.
The Hamas spokesperson also demanded to facilitate the ery of the “National Committee for the Administration of Gaza” io this region to start executive activities and provide the necessary resources for the actual start of the relief and reconstruction phase.
He emphasized the necessity of lifting the blockade of Gaza and fully opening all border crossings and said that the stage of limited reopening of the Rafah crossing and the associated violations should be passed.
The Peace Council meeting, hosted by the United States and invited by the White House, with the presence of a number of world leaders, is the first official meeting of this council since its establishme. It is expected that a donor conference for the reconstruction of Gaza will also be held on the sidelines of this meeting. An action in line with the implemeation of the second phase of the ceasefire agreeme, which has eered the implemeation phase since October 10.
According to the estimates of American officials, delegations from about 20 couries will participate in this meeting, and it is expected that US Preside Donald Trump will announce the dispatch of thousands of troops from several couries in the form of an “iernational stability force” to be stationed in Gaza.
