Meeting and consultation of foreign ministers of Switzerland and Oman in Geneva

Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis, in a message announcing the meeting and consultation with his Omani couerpart, who is the mediator of the Tehran-Washington talks, appreciated Oman’s role in facilitating these talks, which are conducted with the aim of de-escalation.
According to RCO News Agency, Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis, whose coury is hosting the second round of Tehran-Washington talks in Geneva today with the mediation of Oman, announced in a message on the X social network that he met with his Omani couerpart Badr al-Busaidi and said: “I thanked Oman for its constructive role in facilitating talks between the United States and Iran and welcomed the decision to hold these talks in Switzerland – the heart of iernational Geneva.”
Cassis further wrote: “Switzerland welcomes all efforts to de-escalate and is ready to host negotiations to establish stability.”
Earlier on 17th of Bahman in Muscat, with the mediation of Oman, America and Iran held indirect talks about the red lines and their plans to coinue the nuclear talks and lift the sanctions, which they described as “good”.
The two sides will meet today in Geneva for the second time after the war imposed by the Zionist regime in June, in which the United States bombed the nuclear facilities of Iran’s peaceful nuclear program with direct participation, and will negotiate with the mediation of Oman.
About a moh ago, the United States requested to return to the negotiating table with Iran, and after repeating the said request several times and the visits of officials of the regional couries to mediate between Iran and the United States with the aim of reducing tension in the region and resolving the nuclear issue, Iran agreed to conduct these negotiations with the mediation of Oman.
During the last 10 days, consultations and exchange of messages have been going on in differe ways. According to the American media, some of the ideas and suggestions of the American side were preseed in writing during the visit of “Ali Larijani”, the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of our coury, to Oman.
