Araghchi: The European Union should seriously reconsider its non-constructive approaches
On Friday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus Constainos Kombus, whose coury holds the rotating presidency of the European Union, had a telephone conversation with Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran.
According to RCO News Agency, in this telephone conversation, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, while welcoming the start of a new round of nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States, emphasized the importance of coinuing the talks and reducing tension, and announced Cyprus’ readiness for any assistance in this process.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of our coury also criticized the inappropriate approaches of the European Union towards Iran, especially the rece derogatory action of the Council of Ministers of this Union in labeling a part of the Iranian Armed Forces and inappropriate ierference in Iran’s iernal affairs, as well as incorrect positions regarding regional developmes, including the genocide in Gaza and the crimes of the Zionist regime against the couries of the region. It became self-destructive.
In this phone call, the Minister of Foreign Affairs also informed his Cypriot couerpart about the developmes related to the nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States.
