He added: “There has been no president more destructive than him” in the field of environment and climate protection in the history of the United States.

In response to Trump’s cancellation of energy and environmental regulations, the governor of California also stated: “Donald Trump insists on doubling down on stupidity; He wants to revive the 19th century.”

Trump announced on Thursday that the US Environmental Protection Agency is on the verge of revoking a key scientific conclusion that classified six global warming gases as air pollutants and a threat to human health; An action that is considered a big blow to efforts to deal with climate change.

Warning that American citizens are now struggling with consequences such as reduced air quality, increased forest fires and frequent floods, Newsom considered these incidents as examples of disasters related to climate change.
