Referring to the failure of Saudi Arabia to deploy the so-called “Shield of the Homeland” forces in the city, an informed source said: The forces of the Southern Transitional Council (supported by the UAE) are still in corol of the infrastructure and vital facilities of this city.
He added: Despite the agreemes made, the forces of the Transitional Council have under their corol importa barracks such as “Ras Abbas” and “Aljala” in Al-Bariqah area, “Badr” barracks (headquarters of the Ministry of Defense), “Al-Sulban” and “Al-Nasr” barracks in “Khormaksar” as well as the “5th Brigade” barracks in Aden.
According to this source, the forces of the Transitional Council have complete corol over the key checkpois at the erances to the city; Among them, “Al Alam Poi” (Eastern erance towards Abyan province), “Mansat al-Hadid Poi” (Northern erance towards Lahj), “Hosseini Poi” and “Omran Poi” (western erance).
