Macron: Ukraine is the main challenge of Europe; We are close to an agreeme – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Al Jazeera, the French Preside said on the sidelines of the 62nd Munich Security Conference: Europe has enough power and when it is stronger, it will be a better partner for the United States. Europe will be America’s best ally and we respect America and this coury should respect us.
Emmanuel Macron coinued his speech and added: Europe is built on the basis of independe couries and was to establish peace through economic cooperation. Everyone should be inspired by Europe, not trying to divide it.
Emphasizing that “Ukraine is the main challenge of Europe”, Macron stated: “We support Preside Trump’s efforts to reach a fair agreeme in Ukraine.” We are close to reaching an agreeme in Ukraine.
Claiming that “Europe is ready to show its power and now is the time”, he stated: We must coinue to increase the pressure on Russia. After invading Ukraine and spending huge sums of money on a senseless war, Russia has become a weak coury. We must coinue to target Russia’s war economy and attack its shadow fleet. Ending the war in Ukraine will come not by giving in to Russia’s demands, but by increasing pressure on it.
The French preside also said: “Coinuing cooperation in the coalition of willing couries is necessary to achieve security guaraees in Ukraine.” Peace in Ukraine cannot be achieved without Europe. Europe is part of the solution in Ukraine and should participate in the negotiations.
In another part of his speech, Macron claimed: Europe is working on rearming and must become a geopolitical power. European couries should work on building air defense systems. As Europeans we need to reduce our dependence on others and it makes sense to develop our own defense systems.
He also poied out that he “participated in a strategic dialogue with the German chancellor and other European leaders to discuss how to use France’s nuclear deterrence for the benefit of Europe.”
