Grossi: Peaceful nuclear program is Iran’s right – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Al Jazeera, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency said in a meeting on the sidelines of the 62nd Munich Security Conference: Iran has the right to have peaceful civilian nuclear capabilities.
“Rafael Grossi”, who has not yet reacted to the attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities during the 12-day war and has not condemned it, added: “We conduct inspections in Iran that do not include the facilities that were attacked.” Iran must respect the International Atomic Energy Agency.
He also claimed: We must accept that after the 12-day war, Iran’s entire nuclear outlook has fundamentally changed. The equation for Iran has changed not only in terms of capabilities, but also in terms of infrastructure that no longer exists or is severely damaged.
While ignoring Iran’s adherence to its nuclear commitments, Grossi said: The International Atomic Energy Agency returned to Iran after the June war, which was started by Israel and involved the United States. We were able to inspect everything except the places that were bombed. We have made progress with Iran, but we need more verification.
Without referring to the unprofessional behavior of the organization under his management regarding the US and Israel’s encroachment on Iran’s nuclear facilities, the Director General of the IAEA stated that an agreement with Iran regarding inspections related to the country’s nuclear program is possible but “very difficult”.
