The possibility of Trump withdrawing from the Ukraine negotiations in the shadow of domestic political pressures – Mehr News agency RCO News Agency
According to Mehr news agency, the American magazine The Atlantic wrote in a report that the administration of Donald Trump may withdraw from the peace talks regarding the Ukraine crisis due to political considerations related to the upcoming election campaign.
This media writes that in the coming weeks, due to Trump’s focus on the election campaign, he may decide that talks about Ukraine are no longer politically profitable for him and distance himself from these talks.
The report also states that if the negotiations fail, Trump can assign the responsibility for the failure of the diplomatic process to one or both sides of the conflict.
At the same time, Ukrainian sources say that Kiev is considering the option of sending a direct negotiating delegation to Moscow to speed up the process of talks on resolving the crisis, a move that indicates a possible change in the course of the negotiations.
It should be mentioned that the second round of tripartite talks on the Ukraine crisis was held in Abu Dhabi earlier this month with the presence of representatives from Russia, the United States and Ukraine.
Negotiations to end the war between Russia and Ukraine have been ongoing since 2022, and in recent months, despite diplomatic efforts, they have not yet led to a comprehensive and lasting agreement.
