The possibility of changing the American policy towards Afghanistan – Mehr news agency RCO News Agency

According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Ariana News Agency, US Deputy Secretary of State Paul Kapur announced that Washington’s policy towards Afghanistan is being reviewed.

He said in a meeting in the US Congress: “Differe departmes of the governme are reviewing the coury’s policy towards Kabul, and various issues related to Afghanistan are being reviewed.”

Kapur noted that he could not provide a specific timetable for completing the review, but pledged to keep US lawmakers informed of developmes.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump, the Preside of the United States, has repeatedly criticized the way the military withdrew from Afghanistan during the presidency of Joe Biden.

He has also criticized the decision to leave behind military equipme and leave Bagram Air Base.

Zalmay Khalilzad, the former US Special Represeative for Afghanistan Peace, recely said that Washington was “very satisfied” with the Taliban’s efforts against terrorism, although progress in relations remains hampered by the prisoner issue.
