Larijani to Al Jazeera: Israel seeks to destroy the negotiation process – Mehr News Agency | RCO News Agency
According to Mehr news agency, Ali Larijani, the secretary of Iran’s National Security Council, told Al Jazeera: “We have not received a specific proposal from Washington, and what happened in Oman was an exchange of messages.”
He added: “Negotiations with Washington are continuing and the countries of the region are working towards the success of the negotiations, and our position is positive in this regard.”
Larijani stated: Washington has come to the conclusion that it should take a different approach than the military option with Iran. By turning to negotiations, America has moved towards a logical path.
He added: “There will be no negotiation on any issue other than the nuclear program. There is a common ground with Washington regarding our non-acquisition of nuclear weapons.”
Larijani stated: Zero enrichment is not an issue and we need it in the fields of energy and drug production.
The secretary of Iran’s National Security Council added: Israel is trying to destroy the negotiation process and is looking for excuses to ignite the war. Israel does not only have a plan against Iran, but has targeted the stability of the entire region.
The Secretary of Iran’s National Security Council stated: If America attacks us, we will target its military bases in the region.
Larijani emphasized: Qatar has a positive role in the field of mediation. Nobody has given us nuclear technology, we have achieved it with our own efforts.
