Israel’s use of a prohibited weapon in Gaza resulted in the evaporation of thousands of Palestinians – Mehr news agency RCO News Agency

According to the Mehr News Agency, quoted by Al Jazeera Qatar, this research has documented the deaths of 2,842 Palestinians due to the “systematic use of thermobaric or thermobaric weapons, which are prohibited at the international level, known as vacuum or air bombs, which are capable of creating a temperature of more than 3500 degrees Celsius.”

The researchers noted that the extremely high heat generated by these weapons is in many cases so intense that it leaves no identifiable human remains, leaving only blood stains or very small pieces of tissue.

According to this report, the Israeli regime’s use of these types of weapons was also raised last year through a post on social networks by Omar Hamad, a pharmacist from Gaza.

He released a video that he said showed the explosion of a thermobaric bomb in Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza.

Mahmoud Bassal, spokesman for the Gaza Civil Defense, said that the results of this investigation are not based on general estimates, but are the result of field work and detailed criminal investigation.

He explained: “We go into the target house and we compare the number of people who were inside with the number of bodies we find; We compare. “If the family says there were five people inside but only three bodies are found, after a very hard search that turns up only biological traces like blood spatter on the wall or small pieces of tissue like a piece of scalp, we consider the remaining two as ‘vaporized.'” These statements were published by the “Common Dreams” platform.

Unlike explosions from conventional bombs, the thermodynamic weapons used in Gaza first spread a cloud of fuel over the target area and then ignite it to create a very large, hot fireball.

This research states that the fuel used in these bombs is usually Tritonal; A mixture containing 80% TNT and 20% aluminum powder, which is used in American-made weapons, including the “Mark 84” air bomb.

Dr. Munir al-Barsh, director general of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, told Al Jazeera: The heat generated by these weapons is so high that the body fluids of living organisms boil immediately.

He added: “When the body is exposed to energy of more than 3,000 degrees Celsius with intense pressure and oxidation, liquids immediately boil, tissues vaporize and turn to ash. “This is chemically inevitable.”

Yasmin Mahnawi, a resident of Gaza, also said that her son “Saad” was burned in the 2024 Israeli airstrike that targeted a school in al-Darj neighborhood of Gaza City.

He added: “We did not find any traces of Saad; Even a dead body to bury. This was the hardest part of the story.”
