Eritrea: Ethiopia’s accusations against us are fake and false – Mehr news agency RCO News Agency

According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Al Jazeera News Agency, Eritrea’s Ministry of Information issued a stateme on Monday in response to Addis Ababa’s stance against the coury: “Ethiopia’s accusations against us are fabricated and false and indicate the iensification of hostile campaigns that have been carried out against us for almost 2 years.”

In the stateme issued by the Ministry of Information of Eritrea in this regard, it is added: We do not wa to move towards the escalation of tensions, fuel the crisis or make the situation worse.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia announced in a speech yesterday Sunday: Eritrea officially occupies the land of Ethiopia and supports rebel groups. The movemes of the Eritrean forces inside our territory and their exercises with rebel groups are considered a clear aggression. We are ready for comprehensive negotiations with Eritrea, including the issue of access to the sea. Also, conducting a military exercise by Eritrean forces with rebel groups near our northwest border is a clear act of aggression. We ask Eritrea to immediately withdraw its forces from Ethiopia and stop all forms of cooperation with rebel groups. We are ready to eer io negotiations with Eritrea to reach a comprehensive agreeme on the previous issues.

It should be noted that Eritrean forces were prese in parts of the Tigray region in northern Ethiopia during the Tigray war in the middle of 2020 to 2022 and have not completely left there uil now.
