Iraq’s “rule of law” coalition support Iran against US threats – Mehr News Agency | RCO News Agency
According to the Mehr news agency, quoted by Anatolia Turkey, the office of the Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani held a regular meeting of the Rule of Law Coalition in the presence of President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, Speaker of the Parliament Haibat Hamad Al-Halboosi and leaders of political currents and factions of the coalition.
In the statement of the “Rule of Law” coalition, it is stated that the indirect talks between Iran and the United States in Oman were welcomed and the necessity of using the language of serious dialogue and prioritizing the negotiation option was emphasized in order to prevent the occurrence of regional and global wars as well as the aggravation of humanitarian and economic crises.
The “State of Law” coalition also praised the efforts of Arab and Islamic countries to prevent war and emphasized that the threat against Iran violates all international principles and agreements.
In the same meeting, the issue of ISIS detainees who were transferred from Syria to Iraq was also discussed, and the coalition emphasized its support for the Iraqi government’s legal and judicial measures for these people so that justice is served.
Also, the international community was asked to fulfill its responsibility in this field and the countries of which these people have citizenship, hand them over and prepare them for trial.
Meanwhile, Saad Ma’an, head of the Iraqi Security Media Center, announced on Saturday that 2,250 terrorists have been transferred from Syria to Iraq and are being kept in special security centers.These measures have been carried out with the coordination of the international coalition and the efforts of the Iraqi security forces.
These developments are taking place while after the recapture of the al-Hol camp by the Syrian army and the withdrawal of the “QSD” forces, Iraq has gradually accepted ISIS elements transferred from Syria.
Despite the announcement of Baghdad’s victory over ISIS in December 2017 and the complete recapture of the areas under the control of this group, the elements of this group have scattered activities in the northern, western and eastern provinces of Iraq.
